We are back with Part 2 of our adventures in Rhode Island! This time we are just a short drive up the road from Newport in the small charming town of Bristol, Rhode Island. Bristol has the oldest, continuous Independence Day (4th of July) parade in the country. Their first parade was in 1785 & we were lucky enough to see number 239 in a row! It was so special & we are so happy we decided to do attend! It was like something from a movie! We HIGHLY recommend attending if you are able to! The energy in the town & the display of patriotism was truly so special! After attending the parade & exploring Bristol, we go back to our stay for a quick rest before heading back to downtown Newport to see their fireworks show! Another breathtaking display, we are taken aback by how perfectly done the show was! We sat next to the water & seeing the boats, the bridge decorated red, white, & blue, while seeing the show was incredible! Our last day we spend exploring downtown Newport, getting some last minute souvenirs, shopping, enjoy a couple of downtown eateries for breakfast & lunch before making our way north to Maine for the next leg of our trip! Rhode Island is truly a must stop on your New England adventures! We weren't sure what to expect, but were so pleasantly surprised! It turned out to be one of our favorite place on our whole trip! We are back on another adventure, a New England Summer Road Trip! This time we are taking on New England for SUMMER & we are so excited to share! 😍🐚🦞🌊🌸🇺🇸 On day 1 we arrived early in NYC, grabbed our car & made our way along the coast. We made a stop in Rye, NY & Mystic, CT along our way to Rhode Island. Mystic took us by surprise & was such a great town to stop in! Great shopping, restaurants, & views! It is truly an incredible place to see! We finally make it to our main stop for this leg of the trip in Newport, Rhode Island. We are specifically here for a few days & during the week of the 4th of July! We thought where else to be for Independence Day than the most patriotic state in the country! In this vlog we take a few days to explore South Arizona. That includes Saguaro National Park, Tombstone, Bisbee, & little bit of Phoenix. These were parts of Arizona we didn't visit in 2017 so we were very excited to get on the road and explore. Saguaro is a place we've always talked about going because if you know us we are obsessed with everything Cacti! It did not disappoint! We then stop by the famous Tombstone to see some historical sites & then end the day in an old mining town, Bisbee, Arizona. We unfortunately got to Bisbee on a day things were closed, but from what we could tell it is a really cool place! Our next full day was spent in Phoenix at our resort Rise Uptown. Rise Uptown is 100% our vibe & we are so glad we were able to stay here! They offer day passes for people not staying on property to come enjoy the space, which totally understand why! We can't wait to come back and spend more time there! Arizona sparked so much for us in 2017 & this trip reminded us why! It has so much beauty to offer from Page, Grand Canyon National Park, Route 66, & the mountain town of Flagstaff, to the red rocks of Sedona & the 200 year old cactus of Saguaro. In this vlog we take a few days to explore the beautiful Sedona, Arizona. The last time we were in Sedona is 2017 we didn't get to do as much as we would have liked, so this time we dedicated 3 days to do some of the most popular hikes, explore downtown, catch some sunsets, & do some shopping. Sedona is one of the most beautiful places in the country with incredible views & red rocks everywhere you turn. We had the opportunity to do the most popular hike in Sedona, Devil's Bridge. It is an iconic hike, that you've probably seen on social media. We then wake up for Day 2 do Seven Sacred Pools, Birthing Cave, Grasshopper Point, Oak Creek, & Airport Scenic Overlook. Our last day we spend a little time doing some shopping, then driving around Sedona to see the famous Chapel of the Holy Cross, Cathedral Rock, & we did what might be one of our favorite sunset hikes ever, Bell Rock! There are so many hiking opportunities in Sedona. Some long and strenuous, some short and easy. It's what makes it so special! They also have a lot of great restaurants, spas, & winerys. It is the perfect place for a long weekend! In 2017 Meg and I took a trip to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Phoenix. That trip sparked everything for us! We gained a love for travel & seeing new things! We even started our Instagram account, James & Meg, to share our trip & future adventures! 🥹🫶 In 2024 we have taken a trip back to see some of our favorite things from that trip & also explore some new ones! In the first part of this Arizona Vlog we explore Flagstaff, visit a popular Route 66 Destination, Williams Arizona, visit the Grand Canyon, & drive up to Page, Arizona for the first time to see the famous Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Lake Powell. We squeeze a lot in in the first part of this trip & it was totally worth it. The Grand Canyon National Park sparked our interest in 2017 to see the National Parks & we're so thankful it did! On this adventure we did something we rarely do, packed up our things spontaneously, booked a stay, bought tickets to Disney World & hit the road! We are so blessed that our schedules allow us to pick up & go when we'd like & this time it was for something super special! We decided to surprise our friend Julianna for her birthday at Disney! We love running around Disney with Jules & Grayson & hadn't been there with them since 2019! It was so fun surprising her & getting to run around the parks ridding all the best rides! We were also excited to be at Epcot & enjoy the Flower & Garden Festival! Wow! If you want to visit one park at Disney during spring, EPCOT is a MUST! The festival is gorgeous! The food is amazing! And it has arguable one of the best rides of all 4 parks! It's totally worth a spring trip! In this VLOG we first adventure through Hollywood Studios, then over to Epcot, & finish our trip in Animal Kingdom! Disney World has featured a couple of ticket deals each of the last 2 years. The deal we did this time was 3-day/3-park, but they also have 4-day/4-park deal. It can save you a few hundred dollars depending not he dates you choose! In this vlog we take on the Florida Keys! We were invited down to the Amara Cay Resort in Islamorada, Florida to explore their beautiful resort. It was so beautiful & has everything you need for a relaxing, fun vacation! While at Amara Cay we took some time to see the the Tarpon at the famous Robbie's! That is a MUST experience if you're in the keys! HUGE fish jumping out of the water to be fed, pelicans looking to grab a taste, & some unexpected other ocean animals making an appearance! The drive to Key West is an experience in itself cruising on the 7-Mile Bridge & taking in the crystal clear waters of the Keys. In Key West there is so much history, beauty, & fun. We've only ever spent parts of a day at Key West, which is enough to get a taste of what it has to offer, but there is actually so much to do and see & we can't wait to go back to do more! In this Vlog we take on Miami! We haven't been to Miami since 2021 when most things were shut down and it was much different. This time things were shut down for a different reason.... Spring Break! We were nervous that it was going to be hard to navigate during one of Miami's busiest seasons. It actually ended up being perfect for us!
